King of Comedy

Comedy master Stephen Chow plays a passionate but struggling actor. While working as an extra and drama coach, he befriends a nightclub hostess who seeks his help to improve her acting. The storyline develops into a dangerous undercover mission forcing him to reconcile his dreams with harsh reality. Karen Mok plays actress and extra, Cuckoo. She adds comic flair and satire to the film. With her jaded and opportunistic performance, she highlights the contrast between genuine passion and cynical survival of a working actor.
