Karen Mok's Concert Tour Captures a Full House in Kunming

22 commentsAfter Karen Mok's <Hui Wei Concert Tour> held last year in Beijing and Shanghai and being praised by local media as being the best concert to watch in 2009, Karen will once again continue this concert tour in May 2010, this time performing in Kunming. It's also her first time to hold a solo concert in Kunming, so she didn't know what kind of reaction the audience here would have. In the end all those who came yesterday were all Karen's loyal fans. After many years of hoping they finally waited for their idol to hold a concert here, it was a full house, and many of the audience were even standing in their seats to enjoy it. The atmosphere inside was extremely enthusiastic, and in addition the whole audience singing together made Karen even more touched, saying she would definitely return to Kunming to hold a concert.
This time Zhang Yadong was once again the music director for Karen Mok's concert, because they had already rehearsed many times, the tacit agreement of everyone collaborating also appeared good; moreover before Zhang Yadong prepared to go on stage he asked Karen's hired make-up artist to help give him a "smokey eyes" look, and took a group photo together with everyone back stage, allowing Karen to calm her nerves before going out on stage. After the end of the concert, all the staff members on stage and back stage prepared a surprise birthday party to celebrate Karen's birthday on June 2. Karen had no idea about this beforehand, so it was a real surprise, and also expressed that she was most happiest being able to spend her birthday working each year!
After the conclusion of this concert, Karen will also go to Beijing to continue recording work for her new album, and then go to other locations to do shooting for her album cover and music videos, therefore she'll be so busy that she won't be able to catch her breath. Furthermore after attending Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards at the end of this month, she'll also have a new film to start shooting in July, so she really wishes to find a small holiday to recharge herself. However with such a full work schedule it may be very hard to achieve this desire~!
